Our Services

Sports Massage

At RISE we consider your body and mind as your most important possessions; we encourage our clients to spend a little more time prioritising themselves, through a regular programme of exercise, nurturing massage and recovery, to maximise their health and resilience.

Rise Physiotherapy is based in Bedminster, Bristol and provides specialist Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy.

Through over-use, overloading or poor posture the muscles, tendons and fascia of your body can accumulate tension, adhesions and minor injuries which lead to pain, reduced range and abnormal movement patterns. Left unchecked this can cause muscle imbalances, altered, sub-optimal posture and reduced performance, more pain, loss of function and increased risk of further injury.

Based in Bristol, our Physiotherapists and Sports Massage therapists use techniques such as myofascial release, trigger-pointing and soft tissue release alongside neuromuscular techniques such as contract-relax and MET to reduce pain, alleviate myofascial tension and decrease stress within the body’s soft tissues.

Anyone can benefit from sports massage, not just athletes. Emotional, work-related and postural stress can cause significant health problems, from neck pain, low back pain and tension headaches, to dizziness, migraines and neurological symptoms. These can all be relieved through effective, relaxing massage techniques. Massage is a clinically proven method for reducing stress, anxiety and pain, without any pills.

“I started seeing Simon due to a finger injury a few years ago. He was very quick to diagnose what wrong and gave me a great rehab plan! Since then I have seen him for pretty much any niggle I have- finger, knee, you name it! It’s great because Simon understands how important climbing and moving is to me- being in the GB Climbing Team being able to train is pretty important! So all his rehab and recovery still involved some form of training so I could get back to full strength ASAP! Could not recommend highly enough!

“His unlimited psych for sport, exercise and rehab always spurred me on to complete all my exercises which was a key part of my recovery. All injured climbers should just book in with him now as you’ll be climbing hard again sooner if you do!
